Arron: the repeat ride to Devangi

Dated: 3rd Sep

Ride : Bangalore to Devangi to Jogfalls to Bangalore

Distance: 1200 Kms to n fro

Rides: RE C-500, TB 350

I hope by now you all know me if in-case you dont let me introduce myself I am

Arron - The RE Classic 500. My lady Captain M have been taking me to so many

beautiful places, letting me run at my highest of speeds and giving me unbelievable

experiences that I thought of starting a Diary of my own, it might sound weird to

many as I am just a bike

This particular story starts when The Bikerni's decided to give the responsibility of

the August Over Nighter ride to my lady - Captain M. While riding with the girls she

desperately wanted to the region again as she wanted more of it and this time she

wanted to do it with a special someone, and I get to ride with Miss Sheela.

I am gonna write my experiences here and call Captain M's friend R, R is some sort

of techie type of a human they have been friends for a year now and have started

riding together and that gives me a chance to meet Miss Sheela. I think I like her

curvy body and she is well kept and very shiny ( Ayioo Shy is coming )

wokey wokey I will talk about my crush later, lets begin the story about this ride.

The unusual ride was a result of guilt and love, intrigued ? Well u gotta be !!

Guilt: cuz Captain M was leaving R on a super sexy road trip with a bunch of

beautiful girls.

Love: cuz the entire route was so mesmerizing that it is impossible to miss someone

you like to ride with the most. Captain M says she loves the girls the most on group rides

but she has come to like Duo rides too, I think R is a reason for that.

Now that ya'll have the context let the story begin, the said ride was planned for the

long weekend post the Bikerni Bengaluru August over-nighter. The original plan was

to ride will the Devangi Atithya Homestay taking the same breathtaking route but

this time visit places we have not like Agumbe, Sakrebylu Elephant Camp and

Jogfalls along with Kavishaila as its a place to click pictures.

The entire week went by with me and Miss Sheela visiting Shree Manjunatha Royal

Enfeild Service station to get ready for the ride Captain M and R have been waiting

for for a very long time. I they both I think were as excited as us the bikes, since the

Friday night when Captain M parked me outside her house I was shouting from

within please God let the night pass sooner and let the ride begin.......What do I say

Captain M loves her rides to start really really early and R kindda gives in to her

commands I think R secretly knows he cant beat her strong head...... he he he !!

DAY 1: The routine while going was exactly the same as the ride with the girls only

this time we did not loose any keys and we were stopping more often to take silly

pictures. R thinks the banyan trees are Captain M's natural habitats ..... that's funny

cuz I feel the same she looked like she belonged to the nature and the rural place, she

wanted to take pictures with the bulls but that looked like too much work and both

the lazy bums and they decided to move on!!!!

I am usually told that same roads cant charm you twice in short interval but I would

like to contradict the statement, these roads were breathtaking the second time we

found spots for views my headlights can never forget. I don't mind travelling the

roads again..........

We reach Shimoga for a late lunch and then Teerthahalli through the forest route.

Riding hard and riding longer is not an easy task, close to 400 kms I can feel Captain

M and R feeling the aches and pinches. They decide to call it a day but I felt happy

and peaceful and the feeling for gratitude is not leaving me ever. I see Miss. Sheela

also going through the same she is quieter and I can feel me n her can have a quite

night.

This time the conversations I overhear (remember my bad habit of overhearing?)

were different kind, it seems the creative team of 'The Jungle Book' Movie have

taken the Teerthahalli Forrest's pics as the basis for their sets and Kavishaila was the

inspiration for King Louie's temple castle, that made Captain M's day I am sure. The

plans are made for the next day the duo decided they will aim to go to Jog falls and

then Agumbe. Ahhh when will they learn they will never be able to do it, my lady

did say her skepticism that its a bad idea but enthusiasm has no bounds. I felt R is too

childish and Miss sheela nodded looking at me the knowing nod that R is going to

push us all and we heard we will start early and I had to roll my headlight so did

Miss Sheela.

DAY 2: Early ? You call 9:30am early they both woke up at 9:00am and it took

them 1.5 hours to get ready clean both of us and get ready to start for Jog falls. I cant

believe it, its 10:30am already.

Captain M takes the lead and we are about 20 minutes on the ride when its started

pouring and both the riders take shelter leaving me and Miss Sheela in the rain to get

a shower, and by the minute we bikes are getting impatient. Finally the rain stopped

and Captain M and R wipes us sparkling clean and we start again till their stomach

started growling and they stop for breakfast. The place they stopped for food gathered a

crowed as it started raining again and also that we bike gets too many admiring eyes.

The crowed just stood there and smiled at Captain M and R.

The journey from there was nothing but very funny and interesting 40-50 kms from

breakfast point we lost our way and that detour cost us 50 kms more and then R

could not ride more as he felt the a little something in his stomach... he he he,

Captain M had to give away her bottle of water and had to find bushy place R to

poop..... LOL

Miss Sheela and me had a laugh of our lifetime and that kindda lifted our moods and

we forgave the riders for the delay. R came back from the bushes and Captain M let

a hearty loud laugh and teasing R got some funny reaction. The rest of the route was

just scenic and we all stopped very rarely as we all were scared of the rains until we

reached a pond full of lotuses and some sunshine. The stops were so less I was

yelping with joy only to enter Jog falls and my headlights were just plain

dumbstruck at the sight. I wish I had words may be the pictures will help you

understand what I meant but I doubt. Oh wait!! I have a pic

The breathtaking view just changes the entire mood, after a while we decide to return back as Captain M and R wanted to reach Agumbe before the sunset. But the Indradev had other plans for them and it started raining hard and both the riders were soaked to their chaddies. he he he!!

Inspite of the rain Captain M and R rode hard but Ms. Sheela could not hold on to her clutch wire and she broke down with a clept clutch wire where not a single human was visible. we all stopped and R took me from captain M and went on a search for a mechanic, he was so distressed and frantically looking for ideas to fix Ms. Sheela is when he came across a bus driver from ban galore who offered help. Captain M always keeps my spare parts so she came up with an idea that y not we see YouTube video and fix our bike the Driver offered to help us with his tool box, Captain M took my spare clutch wire and all three of them got on to fixing Ms. Sheela. Poor Ms. Sheela she was so worried but three of them finally fixed her enough that she can at-least travel till Bangalore without breaking down.

By the time we all started back it was late and the plan for going to Agumbe was dropped but both the riders were hungry and wet till their kachaas so they decided to stop for some hot tea where ever there is a shop.

Tea n murukku was very yummy i think, the riders seems to be happy. This time I had my time to admire miss sheela, she was so calm and so strong through out i felt like blowing her a honk .... He he he

Slowly n cousiously we reached the homestay and both the riders though tired wet and uncomfortable ahad a huge big smile on their faces. What can we bikes ask for more, we live in the world where bikes carry the riders around without so much a 'Thanks Mate' but in out  a case the riders take care of us and gives us their love.

DAY 3: Time to ride back we started on time in anticipation to reach the Sakrebailu Elephant Camp. But the riders stopped to see a herd of migrated birds and missed the fun with elephants.

Captain M after that was not in a mood to stop anywhere and reach RE survice station to get Miss Sheela a solid fix. We got fixed and there riders finally stopped to eat. I wonder at times how in sync are these two riders are with each other ..... They fight like cats and give them few minutes they are back to being each others support. Time and again I see them with great pride and Miss. Sheela thinks the same.

The rest of the way back was peaceful and the riders ride hard and long and I was home again by 8pm. I bid my tearful goodbuy to Miss. Sheela and fall back to a dream like sleep.

Can I say I love you guys with all my engine.
